Stage
Impending graduate of NYU Vocal Performance in Music Theatre!
Baritenor/Countertenor
II’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. When I was a child, I sought to entertain anyone who’d pay attention—from passersby along a Jersey boardwalk to rehabilitation center residents—with a costumed dance or “Crazy Frog” lip sync or song and story about Thomas the Tank engine. A child that tantalizing was destined for the stage! I love to sing, share stories, and entertain, and musical theater has always been a great fit for what I love most.
I often call myself a “diegetic diva” because of my personality and love of drag entertainment. I’m drawn to shows in which performers get to connect and interact with the audience—something I love to do. It’s especially fulfilling when theater is immersive and the audience becomes part of the experience. Some of my favorite shows include Pippin, Chicago, and Cabaret for this reason.
At the same time, I take pride in being versatile and always welcome a challenge. I enjoy playing all sorts of characters, and feel like I always discover new things about myself, what I’m capable of, and humanity each time I get to portray someone new. Having performed in many genres, I love a classic legit baritenor ballad or jazz-inspired song that’s made its way into the Standards world—and will sing mezzo repertoire in the original key whenever anyone will let me. I enjoy incorporating my experience in the music industry into theater too!
